So it should come as no surprise that the new Klaasen "The Cobra" darts not only feel but also look the part.
So let's get down to the nitty gritty shall we?

With most sets of darts (apart from Unicorn Purist) you get 3 barrels, a set of flights and a set of shafts and in this case, these are no different. However, the first difference I noticed when handling the Cobras was all the various contours on the barrel. Personally, I prefer a barrel that has ridges or scallopes or edges, whatever you want to call them. The reason I love darts like this is because they are perfect for putting you fingers on the dart in the exact place each time. This is something many people, myself included have struggled with and it's the reason I simply cannot use a straight barrel with no "reference" points for my fingers. I always second guess if my grip is the same each throw but with barrels such as these or Jamie Caven Darts, that is never an issue.
I truly believe if the grip issue is something you struggle with, then getting a set of darts with a distinctive grip can really help you improve and they let you concentrate on other parts of the game.
The only let down for me is that these barrels are very short. I like shorter than standard but these little beauties only come in at 42mm in length. That's not including the point. They are also, in the middle, pretty thick, measuring 7.4mm in diameter but because the front of the barrel is very tapered, grouping the darts close together isn't really an issue. You may have seen Jelle Klaasen prove this when he reached the Semi Finals of the recent PDC World Championships.
You get a set of "Cobra" signature flights with these darts. They are standard shape but are 100micron which is a thick flight and supposedly longer lasting. Personally, I don't like thicker flights. I always seem to get big deflections off the back of thicker flights. Also, my darts tend to land flatter in the board when I use thicker micron flights......maybe they weight a little more or provide more drag?
The stems / shafts you get with these seem like generic nylon stems you get although the printer monster logo writing does look pretty cool.

I have just remembered one thing. When you usually buy a set of darts, if they say 22g, that is the weight of the barrels only. Now for some reason, Monster have decided to make all their darts weigh a certain amount when they are fully set up with their flight and shafts. So these new Jelle Klaasen Monster darts weigh 22g when they are set up for use. When you just weigh the barrel, each one was 20.47g or thereabouts.
So would I recommend these MONSTER JELLE KLAASEN Cobra Darts
? It depends. I love the shape and grip but they are a tad short and light for me and do only come in one weight. If you prefer a light short barrel then you may love these. If on the other hand, you like a heavier and straight dart with say, a simple ring grip then I would leave these well alone.
