Darts Players With Strange Throws

Are you a darts player who has a strange throw?

If so, don't despair.....this is darts, not golf. There's no right or wrong way to throw or a right or wrong way to hold a dart.

Everybody should grip the dart and throw it however feels natural. Sure, you may try and copy John Lowe, Steve Beaton, Ted Hankey or Barney's lovely smooth throw and rhythm but when you look at their grips and throw, they probably all hold the dart slightly different from each other.

Also one thing to remember is that odd grips and throws have been very successful in the past.....look at Bristow, 5 times world champ as well as 5 times runner up, he had a very strange grip. Phil Taylor? He holds the dart at the back of the barrel even touching the stem but that hasn't stopped him winning world title after world title.

This is why anybody can play darts and enjoy it. Not everybody can pick up a golf club whichever way feels natural and then hit the ball but most people, with their very first throw will at least hit the dartboard.

So, if you have a strange throw, fear not.....and here's a video of people with strange throws playing on some of the biggest darts stages there is.
